What should I do in the event of a tornado on the third story of an apartment?

I live in an apartment on the third floor. There are no hallways. What should I do in the event of a tornado? Where is the safest place for me to go?What should I do in the event of a tornado on the third story of an apartment?
If the weather should get severe enough that you need to take shelter, remain calm. If possible get to the lowest level of the building/house and/or an interior room or area. This would be an area with no windows nor walls that share with the outside. Mobile homes/Double wides/Trailers are not safe places to be during a tornado or straight line winds. If you can, get to a sturdier building. If you can not get to a sturdier shelter, then find a low ditch or culvert and lay flat as can be face down. Remember, REMAIN CALM!
Downstairs to introduce yourself to your neighbors, and then to ask if they mind you piling into the bathroom/closet with them.

Do not try to weather out a tornado on a second or third floor apartment. You would be LUCKY to survive that way. If you aren't sure about your neighbors being welcoming in a life or death situation, find a building nearby that has a basement you can get to quickly if necessary. Or just go to any one-story building with a small room away from the exterior walls. Wrap yourself in blankets(anything to stop broken glass and debris from hurting you) and cover your head. What should I do in the event of a tornado on the third story of an apartment?
I am in the same situation and I have to tell you I hope you have finished your will. Maybe start writing a final note if you see a tornado coming to sweep you away.

A glass of brandy will help to take your mind off of it.
Go to the lowest part of the apartment. Ask your landlord if there is a safety measures for their tenants if ever there is a tornado. What should I do in the event of a tornado on the third story of an apartment?
Go to the lowest floor possible and where there is very little glass(preferably none at all)
A narrow stairwell with no glass would be the best place. I hope you have that--and go downstairs as quickly as possible.
if you can't get to lower ground you need to get in a closet or bathroom with no windows.
