What is the job outlook for Event Planning?

I was just looking for information on Event Planning and how it looks for the future? Maybe some skills needed to be an event planner and how much they get paid. thank you. What is the job outlook for Event Planning?
Do you want to do events for all occasions like business meetings or do you want to specialize in weddings? There is always going to be a need for event planners but it will depend on what you want, do you want to open your own business or work for someone else? Hotels and Halls will hire event coordinators to handle the planning of corporate meetings/functions and weddings. Opening your own business would be a little more difficult because those kind of event planners have a lot of networking with others in the business ex- for weddings event planners have their trusted florists and bakers they refer brides to and vice versa. Not sure about the pay obviously it varies from city to city and if you work for someone vs. for yourself. Community Colleges offer event planning classes both credit and non credit and have a lot to offer and teach you and is a good start. If your looking to go towards the wedding side and you attend church- volunteer to be the wedding coordinator for couples getting married it will give you some experience and you'll be the one in charge or help out if they already have one. Some skills needed I'd say are communication by far, you must make sure you and the client understands what the terms are and what their vision is. Also being flexible, organized, and confidence in what your doing helps too. Hope I helped good luck!!

another career idea are travel agents they do a lot of planning
