What 2 days are the only days that a major sporting event is not played?

There are only 2 days a year a major sporting event is not played. What are they? What 2 days are the only days that a major sporting event is not played?
Day before and Day after the MLB all star game. What 2 days are the only days that a major sporting event is not played?
You are talking about the day before and the day after the Major League Baseball All-Star game.

You are also making a big assumption that only events held in the United States and Canada qualify as "major", which doesn't make a lot of sense. For example, Wimbledon finals and soccer World Cup* matches could quite likely be held on either of those days. Those are fairly major sporting events...certainly a lot bigger than the All-Star game.

By the way, like the guy below me, you're also assuming (correctly in this case as well) that the MLS doesn't count as "major".

*1994 - World Cup semifinal held on July 8, All-Star game on July 7.

1998 - World cup semifinals held on July 13, All-Star game on July 12.What 2 days are the only days that a major sporting event is not played?
In the US, it's the day before and after the All-Star break. Now, we're assuming (and rightly so) that the WNBA isn't a major sporting event because they play on those days. There could be, or could have been a major boxing match on one of those days. Anytime up until the '90s that definitely would have been considered a major sporting event.
